Well what can you say Without pushing away? And why can't I see it The way that you do? There's a world in my pocket But I've nothing to say This world in my pocket Knows no night or day. Quarter to two I'm back in this room Confined like an outlaw Quarter to four But I'm riding that feeling and I'm happy nowhere As silence revealing So pure and so rare And in time I'll write A few words or lines And who knows what comes next But I'm sure that it's nothing That I would expect.

You're lost in the dark But it's the middle of the afternoon. Slow off the mark Hey baby, it's understood. Can't see the future If you spend life living in the past. Could call it a hunch Put it down to circumstance. But it's not here you're looking for. It disappeared and left behind a door And it's not here you're living for It's just the moments Forever captured in your heart. Caught in a knot Tied down into the middle age. We could call it all off Boil it down beneath a quiet rage Can't find the feelings now Your plans begin to flitter away Was it circumstance Or maybe we could never say. But it's not here you're looking for. It disappeared and left behind a door And it's not here you're living for It's just the moments Forever captured in your heart. But it's not here you're looking for. It disappeared and left behind a door And it's not here you're living for It's just the moments Forever captured in your heart. In your heart In your heart In your heart In your heart In your heart

I used to think of life as Long, dull & grey I used to think of love as Just something we'd say But now I just don't know As these feelings grow I take my time To decide I used to think the world was A big, old place But now it seems we're floating In an infinite space So I just don't know Where my thoughts will flow Once I've taken my time I'll resign And if someone had told me When I was young I wouldn't believe it all. We've all got to learn things As we go. No matter how long it takes How many hearts we break How many days are lost We'll all reap the costs. I used to wanna bury My head in the sand. I used to want to live Without a clue or a plan. I used to sink my drinks 'Til I was blind, dead drunk. I used to overthink Well now enough is enough. Now I think I know Why these feelings grow I've taken my time To decide I think I know And got it under control Once I've taken my time I'll resign.

Own Two Feet 04:30
I'll never let you down I'll never give you up Won't ever spit you out Won't desecrate our love. When constellations lies They complicate themselves They try to simplify Unisolated designs But maybe they'll find It was only love that we had in mind. Hey, come look inside Don't fear what you might find out All is needed to define Where we draw this Undisputed line That we safely hide behind Untamed and unchecked A barren void of neglect Working overtime. On your own again Your own two feet Tryna' meet the end and tryna' make ends meet Can see the finish line You know it's time to run Leave all the shit behind And get the good things done. And maybe you'll find It was only love that we had in mind. And maybe you'll find Only ever always on my mind... And maybe you'll It was only love that we had in mind.

What A Cynic 04:12
Oh man, what a cynic Couldn't win it if we even tried. Think I've finally hit my limit Seen enough to wish that I was bind And why? Couldn't leave it behind One lie to another See how easily the stars align Conspired under cover No more searching for a reason why But I couldn't leave it behind. Knowing why Too far to reach in one life Oh man, what a cynic I think my innocence has been reassigned One born every minute Maybe their ignorance may keep the alive But I couldn't leave it behind Knowing why Too far to reach in one life.

The days, they are long. Yet the nights still linger on. With a cold that cuts to the bone Won't be too soon til I'm home Safe and warm. Where all I see are the pretty lights Of empty streets as the winter bites. I'll hide my head and wait for the sun Until spring at last rolls round again. Sun come to me Let me breathe Warm summer dreams Be my release Now we all can't pretend That this all will never happen again It's the same every pass of the sun But I'll be glad when it's long Dead and gone.

Around our hearts we form Embraced in a quiet warmth Under illuminated skies Obliged, we open wide And now we're born. And in this burning light We chase shadows through our mind While mediated lies Seek to divide What once was our home. Now there's nowhere to go Can't trust the people you don't know And in our darkest night Can't give up the fight It could be anyone When all you see is greed Another heart breaks Out in jealousy It was a past mistake That continues to bleed So when it gets too much Just breathe Around our hearts we form But now we're tattered and we're torn Grown twisted in a vice As daemons entice And call us home.

Permission to land has been denied We venture on through open skies. Our engines gone, so now we glide No destination in our eyes. There's a place and there's a time. There's a hope without a lie. We're coming down through the clouds Catch our breath 'Cause there's a long way down. We make our way through empty crowds Communicate without a sound. Draw a face of city frown Whose got their world so upside down? There's a place and there's a time There's a space inside your mind We make our way to solid ground We catch our breath 'Cause there's a long way A long way, a long way down.

I took a trip that took some turns Change of scene, don't crash and burn Set my heart on some time away Change of mind, I'm here to say Is it so hard to feel the same? It all adds up to nothing much All the same forever more All the goals that slipped away All the tolls we paid along the way Is it so hard to feel the same? Distracted heart and troubled brain Strange faces, dark places Can't seem to make them understand. Coincidental god believer Hoping heaven comes your way All you see is all you're feeling Placed your bets of your dying day. Headaches causing keen confusion Pushing through excessive weight Still unknown but persevering A hellish from clouds of hate. Is it so hard to feel the same? Distracted heart and scattered brain Strange faces, dark places Can't seem to make them understand. Is it so hard to feel the same? Distracted heart and troubled brain Strange faces, dark places Can't seem to make them understand.

I guess we'll start it where it ends As he greets his friends again Dressed in black suit and ties Cheeks watering their eyes. Well I guess it's time to go As the takers take him home To his life. At home he finds himself in bed Clouds lifting from his head Does this mean that I'm alive? 'Cause I felt so close to the other side. And the kids that love him so All gather round as they know These must be the final years Days of youth are drawing nearer and near. A sense of grief start to grow Why am I here? Why do I feel so alone? Another take of the final scene Not looking out, he's looking in Onto the woman that he's loved The only one that he held above anything Trace the lines upon her face. They start to glow as they fade. Now looking forward to their life Where he pops the question, were you my wife? And watch the kids be what they be Unmake the same mistakes as we. as they draw in near to their mum. Until at last they are one And he's never felt so much love But still he feels, is this enough? As his lover draws him near And whispers sweetly in his ear Let's get dressed Let's get out of here Let's get to know These final years of our own. All settled down inside their home Steady jobs and time alone And we're so lucky in every way In a world that seems so cold and grey Another place or another time We might have passed each other by And never known All we know And all we feel But you're so real to me now. Now moving home to Dad and Mum They'll never know all he's done. Always a kid inside their eyes A forever lasting warm sunrise And politics and sex and drugs Have yet to be plainly discussed Well he can barely say his name And his life is filled with love and games And all the love that he's been shown Will help to shape the cause of all He's ever known And all he feels And all he steals Into this world we call home.
